Summary
You’ll help maintain and improve customers’ homes, learning skills in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, decorating and general property maintenance. Working in both occupied and empty properties, you’ll develop the knowledge, confidence and experience needed to build a successful career in the industry.

Hours Monday to Friday, working hours TBC 40.0 hours a week

Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
Your job duties will include:
Assist qualified tradespeople in carrying out routine and emergency repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, plastering, decorating, and general property maintenance
Support the preparation of work sites, including setting up tools, equipment, and safety barriers
Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and colleagues, providing excellent customer care
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to a high standard of safety and cleanliness
Assist with diagnosing repair issues, escalating complex problems to senior staff
Complete work records accurately, including safety checks, progress updates, and safety documentation

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
