Summary
To support the delivery of a high-quality property maintenance across the council's housing stock. The Multi-Trade Apprentice will work alongside experienced operatives to develop practical skills across multiple trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, painting and general repairs).

Hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. 37.0 hours a week

Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
Undertake a structured apprenticeship programme and actively participate in personal learning and development.
Assist with a wide range of day-to-day property maintenance tasks across multiple trades.
Support routine repairs, maintenance and improvement works to council houses.
Learn and apply practical skills in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, minor electrical works and general building maintenance.
Assist in ensuring buildings are safe, secure and compliant with relevant regulations.
Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Work with other teams, contractors and colleagues to support service delivery.
Ensure accurate completion of job records and documentation where required.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve services and processes.
Demonstrate a customer-focused approach when working in occupied properties or public buildings.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
