Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
Assist with the design and development of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, drainage, highways and structures
Produce and amend technical drawings, plans and specifications using CAD software
Support site surveys, inspections and data collection activities
Assist in interpreting engineering drawings, data and technical documentation
Contribute to project planning, reporting and progress tracking
Support compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
Work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders
Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Provide general technical and administrative support to the engineering team

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
