Summary

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Bench Joiner to join our workshop team. This apprenticeship role provides hands-on experience in the manufacture and assembly of architectural joinery products while working alongside experienced tradespeople.

Hours
Monday-Thursday 6.30am - 4.45pm, 4-day working week. Please note that due to working week, applicant who is 16-18 years old the working hours will differ to those advertised. The working week will be 30-hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7 am - 4pm.

Work

As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you'll do at work

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with the manufacture and assembly of timber joinery products  
  • Learn to operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely  
  • Read and interpret drawings, cutting lists, and setting out details  
  • Prepare materials and components for production  
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment  
  • Support experienced joiners with routine workshop tasks  
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures  
  • Store tools, materials, and equipment correctly after use  
  • Work to quality standards and production deadlines  

Where you'll work

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 2)
