WOODHART CARPENTRY LIMITED - Carpentry Apprentice

Summary

Work under the guidance of an experienced supervisor/carpenter, carrying out all aspects of carpentry on new-build sites. Duties include interpreting drawings, measuring materials, installing timber fixtures, frames, trusses, flooring, supports, kitchens/bathrooms, attending college training, and following H&S procedures.

Monday to Friday 7.45am to 4.30pm with 2 x 30-minute unpaid breaks.

Work

As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you'll do at work

  • Shaping, cutting and installing finished materials including timber
  • Reading drawings to carry out their own work
  • Train to use necessary tools on site in accordance with health and safety guidelines

GCSE in:

  • Maths and English (grade C/4 or above (or equivalent))

  • Carpenters work in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to get to various site locations. Own transport preferable.
