Archway Bricklayers Ltd are looking to take on an Apprentice Bricklayer to work on construction projects in and around Saltash / Plymouth. The apprentice will receive full training and support throughout their apprenticeship and be supervised at all times on the construction site.
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
As part of your apprenticeship, you will work closely with the employer to gain all the necessary skills and attributes to be able to complete all aspects of bricklaying.
Work duties will include, but not limited to; labouring, setting out work areas, understanding and interpreting information, preparing mortar, using specific tools required for a task, measuring and cutting materials, keeping work areas clean and tidy, adhering to safe working practices and manual lifting.
In addition to hands-on training, you will also attend classroom and workshop-based training at college to learn about building regulations, safety regulations, and construction techniques. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship program, you will be qualified to work independently as a bricklayer.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. No prior experience is necessary, but a keen interest in the construction industry is essential.
A full UK Driving Licence and your own transport, is preferable, but not essential.
