Summary

As a Property Maintenance Apprentice, you'll play a key role in keeping McDonald's restaurants safe, functional and welcoming for customers and staff. You will gain experience on all different elements of constructions at the McDonalds site whilst completing a course at Middlesbrough College.

Work

As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you'll do at work

  • Supporting the upkeep of restaurant buildings, fittings, and facilities
  • Plumbing work such as leaking sinks, boilers
  • Joinery work such as hanging doors/fixing doors, dining table repairs etc.
  • Repairing fuses' replacing lightbulbs and repairing ceiling lights
  • Replacing tiles in the bathrooms/kitchens
  • Using the jetwash and power tools
  • Stock rotation
  • Taking deliveries
  • Maintenance of machinery
  • Maintenance of car parking facilities
  • Painting and varnishing
  • Daling with external contractors in in house staff
  • Outside landscaping
  • Other duties

Where you'll work

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

GCSE in:

  • Maths & English (grade 3 or above)
