Summary

As an Apprentice Joiner, you will work alongside experienced joiners to help craft our premium, tailor-made lodges from the ground up. Working with a variety of high-quality materials you will assist with everything from timber frameworks to interior finishes, including flooring, partitioning, cladding, and bespoke fittings.

As an Apprentice Joiner at YourRetreats, you’ll work alongside experienced joiners to help craft our premium, tailor-made lodges from the ground up. You’ll gain experience working with a variety of high-quality materials and assist with everything from structural timber frameworks to detailed interior finishes, including flooring, partitioning, cladding, and bespoke fittings. This is a workshop-based role where attention to detail and a willingness to learn are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures
  • Learn to measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials accurately
  • Support the installation of cabinets, counters, flooring, and fitted furniture
  • Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
  • Work collaboratively with qualified joiners and other tradespeople
  • Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and properly maintained

Where you'll work

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
