Summary

Barnwood Limited is seeking to recruit up to three motivated Trainee Fixers to join our Shopfitting Division. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in the fit-out sector. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced Site Managers and Fixers while developing practical skills on site.

Annual wage: £16,640 a year

Training course: Carpentry and joinery (level 2)

Hours
(or subject to age/ young worker regulations), including night working and out of hours works. Shifts to be confirmed.

Work

As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you'll do at work

Your job duties will include:

  • Assist on site with installation of joinery and fixtures
  • Support the fitting of doors, frames, skirting, architraves, flooring and decorating
  • Measure, cut, and prepare materials under supervision
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment on site
  • Follow site safety procedures and company policies
  • Work as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently and to required standards
  • Attend training and college sessions as part of the Level 2 Carpentry Apprenticeship
