Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

Your training plan
Upon successful completion of your Installation and Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship you will be awarded AMS2 certification which will enable you to apply for a ECS Gold Card.
The Installation Electrician ECS gold card is for Level 3 competency based (NVQ) skilled individuals who work unsupervised on the installation, commissioning and maintenance of low voltage electrical and electronic equipment and appliances in a consumer's electrical installation.
The gold card shows that the cardholder has completed a formal industry regulated competency based qualification, which includes technical theory with practical and competency assessments.
Alongside your 4 day week working onsite with D&P electricians, the successful candidate will study part time for one day a week at West Herts College (Hemel Campus).
Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment.

D&P is a commercial electrical installation company based in Holmer Green. Our work is either in new build or refurbished commercial premises, these usually being offices, factories, or laboratories. Our work is based across the home counties and central London.
