Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
At Level 4, you will begin undertaking more advanced technical tasks, including:
Preparing supervised design calculations and engineering assessments.
Creating and managing digital models using CAD/BIM tools.
Supporting analysis of civil engineering systems and data.
Contributing to technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
Assisting with site visits, surveys and preliminary technical evaluations.
Applying engineering principles learned through your higher‑education studies.
Where you'll work
Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
