Monday-Thursday 08.30-17.00 (Half hour unpaid break). Friday 08.30-16.30 (Half hour unpaid break).

Work

As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you'll do at work

  • Assisting with general maintenance and site upkeep
  • Supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
  • Helping with repairs, inspections, and basic facilities work
  • Assisting with compliance checks and maintenance record keeping
  • Supporting grounds maintenance (e.g. paving, fencing, drainage)
  • Learning to operate engineering machinery (e.g. press machines)
  • Working safely in both workshop and outdoor environments

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
