Summary
Start your career in plastering with a apprenticeship working on real domestic projects across Plymouth and the surrounding areas. You’ll learn essential skills such as surface preparation, boarding, skimming, and repair work while working alongside experienced tradespeople. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn.
Training course: Interior systems installer (level 2)
Hours Your working week will be 4 days per week with SMS Drywall, from 8am- 4pm. Your apprenticeship training provider will be Skills Group and you will be required to attend 1 day per week. 38.0 hours a week

Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
Prepare work areas and protect surfaces
Mix plaster
Apply plaster to walls and ceilings
Help install plasterboard
Smooth and finish surfaces
Carry tools and materials
Clean tools and keep the site tidy
Work with experienced plasterers
Follow health and safety policies

After this apprenticeship
On completion of your Level 2 Apprenticeship with Mark Jones, an opportunity to apply for a full-time post may be offered to the right learner.
Alternatively, you could go on to complete your Level 3 in Qualification or go on to be self-employed and start your own company.
