Summary

We at ECS are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our team and become the next generation of BMS controls electrician.

Working as part of an experienced team we want to assist in their training by learning from our skilled tradesmen and giving them valuable site and life experiences.

Monday- Friday, 6.30am- 4.30pm

Work

As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you'll do at work

  • The job role entails assembly, installation and testing of the BMS electrical wiring, equipment, loose controls, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools, power tools and test equipment
  • Our work spans across a multitude of commercial building projects including new builds and refurbishments within many sectors including Sciecne & Technology, Education, Residential, Defence and more

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

  • Supplementary training would be provided from both a health & safety aspect, including the likes of tuition for Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, First Aid, etc.
  • Along with project specific requirements such as IPAF & PASMA training to ensure safe access whilst on site

GCSE in:

  • Maths (grade 4/C)

Other requirements

A key consideration would be the fluid nature of the contracting industry in that the work location shifts to wherever the contracted works are being undertaken, as such own transport is a desirable covering an expected catchment of a 25-mile radius of Cambridge.

Evolution of the job role including extra responsibility or alternative training and development would be expected with added experience
