Working in a dynamic and friendly environment, we’re looking for an apprentice Painter & Decorator to join our team and help deliver exceptional finishing standards across our bespoke builds.

This is an important role within our production process, ensuring every lodge is finished to the highest standard of luxury and craftsmanship. In return, we offer a competitive salary, overtime at time and a half, early finish at 1:30pm every Friday, ongoing staff training, and a genuinely supportive team culture.

As a Painter & Decorator at YourRetreats, you’ll be responsible for preparing and finishing interior and exterior surfaces across our premium, tailor-made lodges. Working within our workshop environment, you’ll ensure all decorative finishes meet our exacting quality standards before dispatch.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating, including sanding, filling, and priming
  • Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and exteriors
  • Ensure high-quality finishes in line with company standards
  • Carry out snagging and touch-ups where required
  • Protect surrounding areas to maintain clean and professional results
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace
    Work collaboratively with joiners and other trades within the production team
  • Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and used safely

Where you'll work

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 2)
  • Maths (grade 2)
