Summary
Our Newark Office is looking to appoint a Civil/Structural Engineering Design Apprentice to join our busy Design Teams. Work on real Construction design projects will be supplemented by in-house training and day release to college.
Training course: Civil engineering technician (level 3)
Hours 8.30am – 4.30pm, 37.5 hours per week. Flexible working may be required in the future. 37.5 hours a week
Possible start date: Monday 03 August 2026

Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
Produce drawings and Revit models for detailed design for each phase of building construction, including planning, tender and final issue.
Produce drawings and models for use in site design and development.
Manage the control and distribution of both internal and external contractor drawings.

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

You will receive the following training in addition to the Apprenticeship Framework:
1 week induction.
In-house training on all company policies and procedures.
In-house AutoCAD and Revit Training.
Will be supported by a mentor within the team.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
2 Further Subjects (grade A*/9 to C*5)
English and Maths (grade A*/9 to C*5)
Science (grade A*/9 to C*5)
