Summary
Reporting into the department manager, the post holder will support the delivery of painting and decorating works across a variety of construction projects, whilst completing a Level 2 Painter and Decorator Apprenticeship.
Hours Monday to Friday 7.30am - 5.00pm 42.5 hours a week

Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
Supporting painting and decorating works across a range of projects and client environments
Learning and applying health and safety and environmental regulations, guidance notes, relevant codes of practice and site-specific requirements
Supporting the preparation of work areas, including protection of surfaces, safe storage of materials and maintaining a tidy working environment
Understanding and applying the principles of risk assessments and method statements, including Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Due to the nature of our clients and the environments in which we operate, the successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of Right to Work in the UK and may be required to successfully complete a DBS check and/or additional client-led security clearances (which may include, but are not limited to BPSS, site-based vetting, or other security screening). Please note these requirements may be introduced at any point in time depending on project, site and client requirements.
