This Civil Engineering Apprenticeship based in our 2 Suffolk offices provide the opportunity to obtain a Civil Engineering degree and achieve incorporated status of the Institute of Civil Engineers. Apprentices will be trained in the use of software including AutoCAD draughting and the 3D modelling of highways and drainage.
Hours Monday to Friday Flexible hours as follows 8.00 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. 40.0 hours a week

Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
On a daily basis Apprentices will learn to produce engineering designs and present them on drawings.
This will quickly develop onto the detailed design of drainage solutions and 3D modelling of infrastructure.
Apprentices will assist Engineers with developing design strategies and detailed designs for projects and site visits as required.
From working in Design Teams, the successful candidate will also progress to managing their own projects and teams, within the course of the apprenticeship.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Over the course of the apprenticeship, you will be office based and a wide range of skills and experience will be provided in the workplace including team working, people and project management, sustainability and knowledge.
At the same time the Apprentice works towards a Civil Engineering Degree for one day a week for 60 months and a further year to achieve the status of Incorporated Engineer.
Incorporated Engineer is a prestigious professional qualification with the Institute of Civil Engineers and is recognised internationally.
