Bricklayers work on new build and refurbishment projects, from homes to large commercial sites. They lay bricks and blocks, prepare mortar, set out work and check alignment using hand tools. Work is mainly outdoors with our teams, following safety, quality and environmental and health and safety standards.
Hours Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm 35.0 hours a week

Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
Work on new build and refurbishment projects
Projects range from homes to large commercial sites
Lay bricks and blocks to drawings and specifications
Prepare and use mortar and damp-proof materials
Use hand tools and levels to check alignment
Work mainly outdoors, often at height
Work with site teams and other trades
Follow health, safety and environmental standards
Where you'll work
Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
