Summary
Working on site with expert teams, you’ll build core construction, engineering and digital skills, ultimately becoming responsible for managing sections of projects. On successful completion, you have the opportunity to complete a Level 6 Construction Site Management qualification.
Training course: Construction site supervisor (level 4)
Hours Monday to Friday between 8am to 5pm. As a project-led business, the location of our work can vary depending on project needs. This role may require you to be prepared to work away from home at project sites across the UK. 40.0 hours a week

As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
Key Deliverables and Accountabilities of a Construction Trainee
The foundation of competency for future construction and project managers, leaders and directors.
To learn and develop skills to enable management of a works section or package, from inception to completion.
To learn interprofessional skills, across functions, with designated time in key departments.
Developing core construction, engineering and planning skills, then supporting skills aligned to works package process.
The principle being that, if you can manage a basic package, then you have learnt the fundamentals of Construction / Project Management to take forward. The process is the experience and opportunity to become the vehicle for development.
Follows safe working practices, demonstrating a duty of care to yourself and others, controlling healthy, productive & enjoyable delivery of work.
Understands the necessity to recognise risk and comply with approved methods of working.
Understand key Quality Assurance principles and utilise inspection procedures and Field view.
Has an understanding of the procedures that govern Temporary Works & Lifting
Interrogates design information and determines if there are sufficient details to construct the works. Raises concerns with supervising managers and engineers.
Has a basic knowledge of how to operate the 3D model and its use in relation to the project.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

After this apprenticeship
This apprenticeship starts at Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor then moves onto a Level 6 Construction site management Apprenticeship. On completion of both apprenticeships, you will remain in the business, gaining more responsibility and managing your own areas.
