Joining our team will mean working on our sites in and around Midlands. Quantity Surveyors are part the commercial team looking after the financial side of a construction project. Working on live construction sites, managing budgets, costs, invoices, negotiating with sub-contractors, dealing with contracts and matters of contract law.

Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
To assist with the procurement of materials and off-site services
To assist with procurement and cost control of sub-contractors
To assist with the payments
Develop an understanding of cost control
Develop an understanding of programming and sequencing
To assist with sub-contract administration
To support project close out and archiving of accounts
Our regions covers a large geographic area and although we try to place staff near to their homes sometimes, they may be required to work some distance away.

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
