Summary
Our 5-year apprenticeship gives you the knowledge, experience and qualification you need to start a career as a rural Chartered Surveyor. You’ll get hands-on experience at the UK’s leading Utility and Infrastructure Surveying Firm, working on various exciting projects across airports, road, rail, water, telecoms and power.
Training course: Chartered surveyor (degree) (level 6)
Hours Monday- Friday between 9.00am- 5.30pm, with some travel to sites. Apprentices will be granted time off for training and block weeks of study at University. 37.5 hours a week

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
You will join a dynamic team of surveyors, projects managers and geomatics professionals who will support you through your studies and involve you in various projects across our key sectors including water, power, telecoms and transport:
You will assist in negotiating compensation claims
Liaising with landowners and working on large compulsory purchase projects

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own car to visit sites and carry out surveys, many of which are remote and rural.
