Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Joiner who will be based in the North East working on a range of bespoke residential and commercial primarily timber framed projects. The successful applicant will need to be keen, reliable and hardworking with a desire to complete the Carpentry and Joinery Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship, with a view to being considered for a Level 3 Carpentry and Joinery. To undertake on-site training alongside and under the supervision of a qualified mentor in all aspects of joinery work, including:
Timber frame kit panel assembly
Timber frame kit installation
1st fix joinery elements
2nd fix joinery elements
Use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools and associated equipment
Maintaining and keeping clean any allocated transport and equipment- if provided
General cleanliness and organisation of site material. This is not a complete statement of all duties and responsibilities of this post. The post holders may be required to carry out any other duties as directed by a supervising officer

The majority of the work will be based on a construction site all year round, with some work in our factory based in Washington. This will be both external and internal work, depending on what stage the project is at.

We are a main contractor providing a full turnkey solution on both residential and commercial project, with a particular specialism in timber frame structures and have a factory workshop in the Washington. After this apprenticeship
Candidates will be supported through a Level 2 Carpentry & Joinery and consideration for a Level 3 Carpentry & Joinery Apprenticeship. The candidate will be a valuable member of the construction site team with the prospect to excel and become part of the supervisory team for the right candidate after gaining adequate experience.
