Full-time position. Up to 40 hours per week, 4 days working on-site with your employer, 1 day per week at our Training Centre (day release). Days and times to be confirmed.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Preparing plots for first fix: Assisting in setting up residential or commercial plots for initial electrical installation work
  • Drilling cable routes: Creating safe and accurate pathways through walls, ceilings, and floors to accommodate wiring
  • Running in cables during first fix: Installing electrical cables according to layout plans and safety regulations before walls are sealed
  • Connecting power sockets: Wiring and installing plug sockets to meet installation standards and client requirements
  • Connecting lighting circuits: Installing and wiring light fittings, switches, and associated control gear
  • Supporting installation of additional systems: Assisting with the setup of consumer units, external lighting, and other electrical components
