Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm, and a day release for College study days.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Deliver a maintenance service to Connect Housing’s tenants and other customers
  • Provide an effective and efficient plumbing repairs and replacements service, including all elements of first and second fix
  • Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all equipment provided for the Planned Projects and Painting Team
  • Meet tenant’s day to day repairs needs, development, cyclical maintenance and planned maintenance programmes
  • Operates hand power tools and machinery on site and in the Depot/Store; ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety rules and regulations
  • Preparation of risk assessments, method statements and construction safety plans to meet health and safety and company policy requirements
