Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The successful applicant will be working with various joiners on different sites learning all aspects of joinery.
You will learn to use all the required hand tools and power tools from joiners with experience from 5-30 years.
This will provide you to learn traditional methods of joinery and carpentry.
As an employer we will teach you how to complete the following tasks:
How to fit skirting boards and architraves
Fit doors
Studwork
Roof carpentry
Fascia and soffits
Kitchen fits
Plasterboarding
Various other building works

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Full induction and ongoing training and mentoring
Apprentices will also have an allocated College Assessor who will make regular visits to the restaurant and conduct on-site training as well as conduct three-way reviews to ensure momentum and progress

You must be able to get to various sites for 8am. It is very likely though that another team member will be able to assist in pick up and drop off from locations. There are 7-10 employees, 2 of them have completed apprenticeships within the company and have stayed with us. Christmas night out is arranged and paid for by the company. 28 days holiday. Days must be kept as we close for Christmas for 2 weeks. Pensions are available if requested.
About this company
We are building company based in Southport. We have been trading since 2008. Our main area of projects are based within a 15 mile radius. We cover all aspects of joinery from roofs to kitchen fitting.
