Summary
As part of the apprenticeship, you will be studying A Property Maintenance Operative level 2, which will include both theory and practical with day release for the theoretical training. The apprenticeship will be based at our Media and technology centre in Biggin Hill but will also be required to attend our London Head Office as required.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
Cut in and paint to a very high standard
Preparing surfaces by sanding down, priming, mist coat and undercoat
Corking
Painting walls, ceilings, skirting boards
Applying layers of paint to different surfaces i.e. plasterboard, timber, metal and hanging wallpaper
Glossing woodwork, skirting boards, bannisters, door
Undertaking elements of carpentry to internal & external doors and frames
Undertaking plastering, skimming to walls both internal and external
Installation of vinyl to glazing, metal and other substrates
Learn how to deliver reactive works investigations and repairs on fabric, fixtures and fittings.
Undertake planned preventative maintenance inspections across site to ensure client and public safety and satisfaction.
Understand the value of excellent customer service.
Undertaking daily building tours
Undertaking PPMs as per F1 PPM Planned
Assisting the technical department as required on planned and reactive maintenance

BTEC in:
Painting and decorating qualification (grade 1)
